The campers all survived with tales to tell I am sure. I heard that it snowed on them a couple of times throughout the night but they all got some sleep apparently. Better them than me.
Breakfast, for me, was "Egg McMuffins" (bacon and eggs on toasted English muffins). I don't think I have ever eaten so many eggs as I have on this trip. Better double my cholesterol medication. LOL Lunch was cauliflower soup (excellent) and a soupy crab and asparagus risotto. Dinner was potato soup (excellent but not as good as mine), monkfish or pork or stew or vegetable quesadillas (I only had the soup).
The final continental landing was at Neko Harbour this morning. Sightings: Minke whales, gentoo penguins in the thousands, kelp gull, leopard seal, humpback whales. Once again I skipped the afternoon excursion because I thought I had enough shots of gentoo penguins and there weren't high expectations of seeing much else and from what I heard I was correct in my assumptions. A humpback whale put on a good show late in the evening as the captain kept the ship right behind it for quite a distance.
The March of the Penguins is being shown tonight (with popcorn provided) but I think I will skip it and rent the video at home.
Not sure what is on tap for tomorrow.
